So did you experience snow this week? According to the news it was everywhere (UK and North America) but we did not see any laying here - a few thick rain showers and some dusting of white on the hills in the distance but that was it. I'm not complaining.
In the midst of the cold I am finding it odd packing lots of t-shirts and keep having to remind myself that with temperatures of 16 - 22C I will not need cardigans!
Some nice signs of new growth in my garden - lots of green tips poking up for the bulbs and my rhubarb has emerged
and enjoying the low light on my river walks

I like the idea of packing t-shirts right now; adventure & warmer weather. Your cloud photo is quite interesting, I see a big H in the break of the clouds. Rhubarb growing already! Happy week ahead.
LOL! NO: you won't need the thermal vests that I am threatening to send to a certain student flat down your way. I feel just like my own mother. We haven't had any snow here either, though it sounds like you are beating us for windchill.

Even after many years of blogging, I'm still amazed when I see your rhubarb poking up. It's so many months before we'll see any green poking up. Like Mary-Lou, I'd love to be packing tees right now. Have fun getting ready for your big trip!
Hope your arm is better now. Enjoy your trip! You maybe ok around Auckland but we only brought one fleece and we have used it nearly every day....
You have ben worried with the rhubarb shot! I was only thinking yesterday that I must get out there to split and transplant mine while it is still dormant. Or I was assuming it was. Glad the arm is on the mend. Mine's still a pain - in all senses.

Believe it or not - we actually saw snow here weekend before last - enough to coat the ground . . . luckily it disappeared the next day. :)
My goodness, your rhubarb is brave! We've had four inches of the white stuff and roads closed with jack-knifed lorries ... So I am envying you your packing!

It doesn't matter where I'm going, or what the weather forecast is like, I always pack at least one cardigan for holiday evenings when the temperatures drop. I like to think of it as insurance that I won't need it!
