I picked my first bowl of raspberries from my garden for this year
and yes a few strawberries too - they were delicious and plenty more ripening. I've also been picking rocket, baby kale leaves, sorrel, mint and chives from my garden to enliven my salad most lunchtimes - I like going out to pick a few leaves of each to make up a bowlfull.
Plenty more 'first this year' to come as Edinburgh heads into Festival season - over the weekend I enjoyed some free jazz (photos for snap on Wednesday) and cultural group performances (photo on Friday) and I'll be going to more jazz during the week - just as I have this week for the past 5 years.
Hoping your week contains sunshine and toe tapping

Oh freshly picked raspberries, yummy. We had some last night with yoghurt, but alas mine were store bought & do lack that fresh warm pick flavour. Looking forward to your finds for Wednesday. Happy week ahead to you also.
Tracy brought in a handful of raspberries last week from our yard (we didn't plant them, but always enjoy them). Have a great week!
Yum!
Anything special going on in Edinburgh July 30- August 1? I know we are leaving right before something big starts that we purposefully avoided because of the increase in housing cost!
Scottish raspberries are always the best ... Our first house which we rented had a thicket of raspberry bushes at the bottom of the jungly garden and we devoured warm sweet bowlfuls of them the summer I was pregnant. Thank you for jogging my memory! Wishing lots of interesting adventures at the festival - glorious to have it nearby ...
An enticing picture. I have also been busy picking fruit and I agree that leaves from the garden really enliven a salad.
What a glorious picture! I imagine you had a wonderful lively week as its now Friday! Have a lovely weekend. x
Sunshine and toe tapping sounds like a very good combination. Especially if accompanied by some Scottish raspberries..we picked a couple this week, wild ones, and they were absolutely delicious
