I can’t help but smile when I see a rainbow
I remember, a long time ago, when I lived in Liverpool – I was going home on the bus on one of those grey days when everyone feels subdued and the bus turned the corner and bang in the middle of the view out of the front window was a big rainbow and you could feel the whole bus smile and perk up.
I had thought of using this for zoom in, zoom out. But, mindful of all the media chatter about the Mondays of January being the most depressing of the year, I thought I’d share the smile magic for the last Monday of January.

You're right! I'm not sitting here with a smile on my face..
..and you have also reminded me that I wanted to go and have a look for a copy of the DVD of Sunshine on Leith which is supposed to be out today :)
Ah, that's a great photo, especially over the sea/waters o' Leith ... birthplace of my ancestors :). It has indeed made me smile today!
Lovely pic, Helena!

Beautiful Helena. I made a plan to completely ignore January as a 'time in the year'. In past years I have been so down in January. Paul used to say I had a black cloud over me. So this year I have altered my mind set and it has worked. I can hardly believe it is February at the weekend. And yes I always let everyone around me know when I see a rainbow. My family say that I announce it like I have never seen one before...Ooops, rabbiting again...
Wow - that's gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!!
Brings a smile to my face as well. It's funny but I remember vividly some of the rainbows I've seen in the past. One of the most spectacular was years ago as we drove across northern Texas. It was so flat you could see for miles and the rainbow was huge!
Definitely smile magic! Oh, how I wish it was warm enough here for rain and rainbows! (Hmm, I wonder if there are "snow-bows?!)
Rainbows always lift my spirits Helena, a nice image at the end of my day. Thank you :)
