I walk by the beach at least once a week, and always take my camera with me.
The two above have Pioneer Women actions applied and on the two below I used the most recent free textures from Kim Klausen.
Recently I’ve been turning my camera to take more portrait oriented shots. In part this has been prompted by using The Monthly templates which have several portrait oriented photo spaces each month.
How often do you turn your camera to photo orientation? or do you crop a landscape oriented photo when you want to fill such a photo spot?

I love these shots and your processing!I especially like the green metal posts curving along the promenade.
Nearly all my photos are landscape - it's something I'm trying to change, but it feels so much more natural to me! It does sometimes mean that I have to find a decent crop to fill a template, and there have been occasions where that hasn't quite worked.... So I am trying to take more portrait orientations!
I love the sea. I don't live that far from it, but I don't go often enough. Your beautiful photos have reminded me that I need to work on that, too xx
These are gorgeous! I love the green metal too
I use my camera both ways up - but that doesn't mean the photos are any better in Portrait orientation... I'm working on it though.
What were the Actions you used on the top two photos? I suppose it means they are good, if I can't tell, but still, it would be nice to know.
I love that looong row of posts in a curving line; but I like the sea views best - we live so far from the sea and I miss it!
These are gorgeous Helena :-)
I use my camera in both orientations and I am particularly liking portait style at the moment.
Loving the photos Helena and I'm off to investigate those actions you mention. Like yourself I do make a concious effort to take in portrait.
Lovely photos. I've never used any actions before. I might have to try them out. Another item for my to do list. :) Found you through BFS.
