When I go for my daily walk by the river I never take music with me because I enjoy listening out for the water and the birds and other incidental noise. One sound I particularly listen for is a swan in flight - they are so heavy that you can hear the beat of their wings. When I hear them I always reach for my camera in the hope I will be able to capture them as they fly past - 9 times out of 10 I don't, but sometimes I do, and sometimes the image is in focus.
what do you listen for when out for a walk? or do you take your own sounds with you?
The only sound I take with me is Monty barking if he cannot get through a gate quick enough. Generally I lov the tranquility and the sound of the birds. Well caught picture of the swan.
Birdsong is what I love to listen to. Yesterday on the beach I listened to the curlew's, their song makes make heart soar. I love your Pair this week especially as on Valentines evening we went to watch a floodlit swan feed!
I never take music and I'm not keen on the kids walking home in our city traffic with music on either. It doesn't feel safe to me if I think they can't hear the cars

On my way to work this morning I saw a young boy walking to school and he was looking down at his phone as he walked. I thought what a shame - to walk with your head down and not noticing the blossoms on the trees or the beautiful blue sky this morning. Your choice to not listen to music so you can be present to other sounds reminded me of that.
I like to listen to what is around me. Or to retreat inside my head and just be. We have birds flying low over head often on their way to the park opposite - usually geese. I haven't ever seen a swan overhead. Cool shot.
I live in Scotland, used to live in New Zealand and travel often for work and pleasure.
I always have my camera with me and enjoy recording daily life and quirky things I see. Digital art and recording life are my primary creative outlets at the moment.
I've tried many crafts and still knit sometimes and make jewellery and play with paper, glue, stickers and brads.

Great capture of the swan in flight. They're so beautiful, aren't they?

It's not easy to photograph a bird in flight, I've discovered!! Well done you!
I love my walk to work each morning, listening to the birdsong :)
You have done really well to capture the swan in flight. Takes me back to my childhood, and Yeat's poem The Wild Swans At Coole ...

Gosh, they are big enough to be scary!

I don't think I've ever seen a swan in flight. I love the way you've categorized your pairs!
Great photos...and great triple pairs!
Great shots!
