Penultimate Pair

With only 2 set of pairs to go before we start on Snap next year, I was thinking if there were any kinds of pairs that I had intended to find but hadn't yet.  I have 'homophone' written on the whiteboard beside my computer because several times Miriam has shared a pair where the two images are described by the same word but with different meanings - I remember her rusty pad -lock and the lock on the canal.  So I was on the look out for a homophone pair and came across these

Looking forward to all sorts of pairs this week and wishing you all a merry Christmas.

A very merry Christmas to you too! It's been a lot of fun seeing what appears here every Wednesday and I'm delighted that you have come up with a new one for next year

I like your homophone/Penultimate Pair. And truly quite seasonal as I see lots of pinecones around the evergreens since there isn't any snow to cover them; the traffic cones I see in the packed full mall parking lots to tell people "don't park here". I like homophone Pairs - I have a Pair waiting that would fit this bill. Umm maybe next week I'll use up this Pair.

Love it! Clever and seasonal too. I also remember Miriam's homophones. They were some of my favourites. Sorry I keep forgetting to post pairs - even when I have a pair and post them on a Wednesday I fail to notice they qualify! Must do better! Will try again for four of a kind, but meanwhile have a wonderful Christmas.

Clever! I like your thinking.
I have been lacking in visiting blogs lately so am taking the opportunity to do some catch up. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and lots of festive fun.
