Thanks to Rinda’s scavenger hunt list I made a special trip to one of the old graveyards in town and took lots of photos. I suspect that she hoped her scavenger hunt would send us to some places we might not otherwise visit.
Item 13 is ‘A cemetery of historical significance or with an interesting story’. This place definitely has historical significance
and also an interesting story

Great job! We spent a wonderful week in Edinburgh once and would love to go back. I remember seeing the dog statue but missed the cemetery somehow. I've got a cemetery post scheduled for some time next week (while we're on vacation). I'll be sure to link to this one.
