They are both beautiful in as you say quite different ways. The birds love those teasels too.
Oh yes lovely close up photos. Neat Pair. I particularly like the poppy seed heads. At a lot of the Christmas bazaars there will be many crafts/decorations made with the teasel heads, usually sprayed gold. I think maybe next year (oh the gardener's cry) I will let my poppy seed heads dry out - I am too quick with the snippers.

I had collected some poppy seed heads too but eventually they went mouldy so I had to toss them..need to find some fresh but better dried ones!
It's such a striking difference that it really made me think about how they would each feel in my hand. That's good photography.

What a lovely textural pair ... I've enjoyed thinking about the similarities of shape and differences in colour and feel to the touch.
What a contrast! I've never seen poppy heads that look like that. I'll have to pay more attention next year.
