Pairs week 3 finding postcards

I went  into the National Art Gallery to buy some postcards for Sian's upcoming postcard swap where she suggests we send postcards of something we love - I thought his was a good opportunity to buy send some picture of great art.  (If you don't know about the postcard swap and want to join in, there is still time, visit Sian's blog here.)

With beautiful clear, blue skies and some sunshine I walked through the park to reach the gallery shop and bought postcards of the watercolours which are only on display in January when the sunlight is so weak that it does not damage the art works.

I'm enjoying the range of pairs that you are all sharing.  You are welcome to link with any form of pairs - there are some ideas on the pairs page.

Oooh! I love that: Intent & Purchase I'm afraid if I used that the blog would be swamped!! I think that your Pair this week is so creative and you must be cold. Loving the colour of your glove.

Oh, I love this pair! The first time I visited I brought my Mum back a cross stitch kit of that skating vicar. I like him a lot.

Lovely pair...it looks so cold and crisp(but oh so green!)..
I like the skating vicar too...and an interesting past history about who might have painted it(though it looks like it is settled)

Great pairing, and I, too, am impressed with the many different pairings that have showed up in just the first three weeks!

What a cool place to look for your postcards! When I was a student, I used to go and look at Monet's Haystacks inbetween trains ...
