Zoom in on the hills

snow symbols are starting to appear on the weather maps - but only on the hills at the moment and I could see a dusting of white on the hills in the distance as I looked out over the firth and Fife

week 50 which means only 3 more Wednesday's this year - yes I know that takes us to week 53 when there are only 52 weeks in the year but the first and last day of 2014 are Wednesday.

But it does mean that I have been thinking about next year and the continuation of this meme.  Some of you may remember that last year I posted 2 photos each Wednesday using 'look up. look down'.  I was thinking about other linked pairings and decided that rather than choose one of them as the theme for everyone to follow in 2015 that I would offer /welcome sharing any linked pair each Wednesday - for instance
- before and after
- look left, look right
- in front and behind
- the photo and me taking the photo
- then and now (a chance to use a old photo and pair it with a contemprary equivalent)
and of course more of
- zoom in, zoom out
- look up, look down
and I'm sure there are more that you and I will think of during the year

you might want to choose one of these and follow it each week or dabble across them as I intend to

so I hope you will join me next year either occassionally or every week in sharing a linked pairing - and I'll endeavour to think of a catchy title before our first outing on 7th January

in the meantime looking forward to all your zoom in, zoom our for this week

It is certainly colder but you can keep the snow up there! The paired pictures sounds a great idea. I must learn to be more disciplined to stick to two pictures!

I've heard it's pretty cold in your neck of the woods at the minute! The snow does look pretty..from a distance

Brrr.... your hills are making me feel cold!! Luckily we have a nip in the air but still quite bright and sunny here.
Glad you will be continuing your paired neme Helena, I don't always get round to posting but I often do take the photos!! I'll find time later to add my last ones. I like the idea of your paired photos and 5 in 5 as they are quick and easier to fit in to a busy life while giving the challenge and pleasure of using the camera.

correcting a spelling mistake in my deleted comment!!!...

Love the zoom in-zoom out showing green grass in the foreground and snow in the background.
Love your idea for next year...perfect timing for me since I was already planning some "Then and Now" for next year!!

Hmm, it looks pretty warm to me, compared to Winnipeg! And you still have green grass? Such beautiful views!

Love the plan for next year. I'm pretty sure I'll dabble.

I was hoping you'd host another meme. I've been thinking about trying to come up with a pair of photos with something in common--a diptych. I did a couple of them several years ago for another photo challenge. I'm not sure I could come up with 52 of them, so I'm glad to have some flexibility!

Your scenery looks pretty inviting. My ZIZO is snow covered!

Wonderful zooming in and out - looks like winter is approaching. I like the idea of dabbling - but I hope we all dabble in the same thing on the same week.

I witnessed the dusting from a great height when landing in Edinburgh on Wednesday ...hoping to be a more frequent participant next year! Xx

I'm grateful not to have snow - although I did tell someone it feels weird to see flowers and know it is so close to Christmas.

Glad to hear you are going to do another pairs meme. I've enjoyed the challenge of finding the pairs each week.

It's looking cold! I started out the year good but quickly fell off the wagon as they say. I'm hoping to do much better next year.
