zoom in after dark

I appreciate all the twinkling lights at this time of year when it is dark by 4pm - roll on 21st when the days start to lengthen again.
many of my neighbours have a lit tree in their bay window adding lots of sparkle to the street and the chance at catching some bokeh - in this case my camera just did it

If you are wondering why there are trees in upstairs windows - those 'houses' are actually two layers of flats so the trees are in the upstairs flats' living rooms.

hope you are all finding some sparkle in your run up to Christmas and looking forward to see what you are all zooming on this week

Week 51! That's a real achievement.

I love the sparkling trees. Re the flats: we notice an interesting handle coming out of the wall in the hall of TTO's third floor flat, but we didn't know what it was for. Found out on tv programme a couple of weeks ago - to open the front door of course!

I love your zoom in. Very effective. I love looking into people's windows looking at the sparkling trees. I used to count them as a child as we travelled along in the car!

These are both great photographs. The bokeh in zoom in so pretty, and the zoom out really captures the charm of the neighborhood at Christmas.
Wondering what meme (if any) you're planning for 2015.

I love how the trees look in the upper floor windows. Great shots.

Both great photos, and I love the bokeh!! Feeling sad that all the lights are now down for another year, they do add some colour and cheer during our dark winter days.
