Memorandum Monday unpacking

Extra big wave to everyone in between unpacking and adjusting to the cooler temperatures - I went from 26 to 6 C on the way home.

I'll share plenty of my holiday in northern Spain over the week (and next probably) but for now a taste of the new bit at the weekend - Barcelona

I'd heard lots of good things about the city and it really is a delight to wander - the small winding streets of the Gothic quarter with interesting shops and cafes around each corner; the magnificent architecture with a mix of elegance and creative exuberance; plenty of people to watch; and a fabulous beach a few blocks from the city centre.  Plus easy to use and cheap public transport it is an easy city to while away the time.

I have 123 blogs in my reader so it may be later in the week before I get to visit you all and catch up on what you've been sharing while I was away.

Wishing you all a good week - now I must go and finish unpacking, do some more laundry then settle down to sorting my photos

Welcome home! Sounds like a good holiday and I'm looking forward to hearing more. Barcelona is one of those places that Emma visited which after the virtual tour I will be adding to my bucket list.

I loved Barcelona, from the architecture of the Sagrada Familia, to the street artists in Las Ramblas and the lovely fact that city and beach are so close together. One of those 'would like to go back' places!

I am looking forward over the next week to seeing your photos from your vacation. 123 Blogs! WOW that is a lot of reading. The unpacking can wait, it's not like it's going any where soon (col).

We spent one morning in Barcelona off a cruise ship and it is definitely somewhere I'd like to go back to. I bet it's lovely at this time of year. I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures because it sounds like you had a really lovely time

Wishing you a happy week remembering

Lovely to see you are home safe, despite that shocking drop in temperatures. I am full of nostalgia looking at your atmospheric photos - I lived there for a while. Very much looking forward to more!

I have a friend teaching in Barcelona at the moment so have enjoyed seeing the photos. She really enjoyed her visit there before so plans to see more corners of the city this time.

Lovely snaps - I will be adding Spain to our list of must-visit spots. I'm catching up with blogs this week too, and laundering after unpacking as well. I hope your settling back in has gone well.
