Waving to you all on this autumnal Monday before I go out for a walk to enjoy some blue sky before it disappears again!
Definitely feels a change in the seasons - I couldn't put off wearing my boots any longer so swapped over all my footwear and jackets and generally did my wardrobe seasonal change. I do like wearing boots but not the fact that I'll be wearing them for about 6 months.
A nicer autumnal practice has been picking and eating the tasty apples from my tree - this was the second half that I harvested on Sunday
Another first this week was going to see the Billy Elliot musical - it was fabulous. I love the movie and was interested to see how it had changed for the musical - fabulous use of dance to tell the story of the miners' strike which is the background to the story of the young boy who becomes a great ballet dancer.
Hoping you all get some sunshine this week and have a good week.

Oh those apples look so crunchy & ready for munching. I know what you mean about putting off the wearing of coats & boots & mittens ... believe it or not this morning's weather forecast is for a humidex!
It has turned so much chillier here that I'm knitting as fast as I can :)
Apples: may I put in a request for crumble?
Wishing you a cosy, well wrapped up week.
I have been getting out for walks as much as I can to enjoy the sunshine, I really don't like dull winter days. I would love to see the Billy Elliot musical - one of my favourite films.
Enjoy your week.
That's a splendid apple crop, Helena. They look wonderfully crisp ... Boots already? I'm holding out till the end of the month and still got bare feet in lighter weight shoes. But I can feel the need to locate my socks every time the temperatures drops another degree :).
My wardrobe transition is only partial. It was chilly for a day or two, and now almost summery again! I have my boots out of the attic, and in the closet, but hoping I won't feel the need for them for a few more weeks. I have begun eating apples regularly though. They are at their very best right now.
Yes the temperature has definitely dropped hasn't it? I do like a bright Autumn day though!
My wardrobe switch is midpoint too as I bought some new fall clothes for traveling but haven't moved my summer things to the off-season closets. Maybe today - although it has been unseasonably warm here the last few days. Fresh apples sound heavenly whatever the weather.
Oh! I have Billy Elliot on stage envy! I so want to see it but finances just won't allow at the moment. We both love the film and the very last scene always sends shivers down my spine. I wonder how they approached that on stage and come up with various scenarios.. Don't tell me though, you never know...
