me on Monday

a big wave to everyone as we head into autumn

20-sep-15-(2)

a growing number of yellow/orange/brown leaves on the trees and ground but not so cold I need to get out my boots yet – I do resist as long as I can knowing I’ll then be wearing them for several months

It was a good weekend with plenty of entertaining rugby to watch on TV and plenty more to come with the World Cup running until the end of October.

Plus a lovely afternoon and evening spent with some New Zealand friends who are making a whistle stop trip around visiting friends in the UK – we enjoyed some afternoon sun and lots of chat.

Now I’m looking our the window at the rain and hoping the forecast is accurate and the rain will pass by afternoon so that I can have the planned walk ‘to see my swans and river’ with a visiting blogfriend.

I am seriously hoping the weather will improve for our planned trip. I can't believe you have managed all this time without boots! Mine have had more outings than usual this summer!

Ooh, have a lovely time with your friend! Yes, the rugby was the highlight here. What a great excuse to curl up inside and knit..

Have a great week Helena

I do love to see the leaves turn colour and then fall to make a carpet underfoot but I agree, once those boots are out you know it's going to be a long time before normal shoes see the light of day!

Love those shoes, I've resorted to boots but that is because I need to wean myself out of heels (I'm developing a bunion:( )
Hope the weather improved ... swans on a river, how lovely,

I will be sending you some sunny thoughts as you enjoy your river walk to admire the swans and enjoy a blogging friend's company. Happy week to you :)

Ooh - at first I misread your 'visiting blogfriend' as 'boyfriend' ...

There seems to be lots of blog friends and friends from many miles away meeting up in my blog travels today. Must be something in the misty autumn air!
