photo scavenger hunt clothesline

The second item on Rinda’s summertime photo scavenger hunt list is a clothesline.  Early on I took a photo of the one in my garden covered in raindrops

3-July

but then on a walk I saw a more interesting clothesline and decided to use this for my hunt collection.  These are a row of houses near where I live with pulley lines for the people in the upper flats – I love how practical they are.  The poles in the grass in front are for more, communal clothesline on the green – sometimes I see travellers hanging their blankets on these lines – I love the idea of community clothes lines.

I love this picture - it's a real candidate for some of your mad digi skills. Take away the car, change to black and white and see if you can take it back a hundred years

It's so cool to see your surroundings, Helena - so different from where I live. I finally did find a clothesline - peeking over my mom's backyard fence into her neighbor's yard the last time I visited. It's not an attractive clothesline, so I'm holding out hoping I find a better one before the hunt is over. Wouldn't you think there would be a lot of clotheslines around me since I live in a place where it's so sunny? Nope!

Oh, I remember the pulley clothes lines. You can often see them in old films from the 1940s.

Oh no! community clothes lines fill me with horror! I don't think I could resist Sians idea to use your 'mad' ? digi skills. :)

Yes, our clothesline is covered in raindrops today, too! Tumble dryer's doing extra shifts at the moment!

I agree with Sian! I'd take away the car and add some interesting textures to it. Or maybe crop it to focus on the clothese hanging on the right hand side.
Thanks for posting such a great clothes line.
