Snap on my coffee

Lovely to see so many joining in with snap last week - thank you all.  I enjoyed the variety of interpretations and think we are set for an interesting year.  I know that I have been paying attention to detail a lot in the last week as I store away ideas for future snap sets.

If you are new to snap my idea is to share a set of between 2 and 4 images that have a visual link such as colour or shape or subject or that form a photo essay (or anything else you care to share as a visual set)

This week I was thinking about a # that Miriam uses a lot on her Instagram feed  - 'nothing is ordinary'.  So I decided to create a snap set with photos of a nice decoration that is made for me most days

my barista coffee of choice is a flat white and the way in which the milk is added to the coffee means that there is usually a nice pattern made from the brown of the coffee and the white of the steamed milk.  My local cafe has some trainee baristas at the moment who have not mastered the perfect pattern (but the coffee still tastes good).  I do compliment the baristas when they make a particularly pretty design. I have a flat white most days so this was an easy set to collect.

I'm hoping to find inspiration for more snap sets in the idea that nothing is ordinary

Looking forward to seeing what you have collected this week

That is a great idea and i can see exactly what they are now you have told me. I couldn't work them out to begin with. It would take me an age to collect something like this the number of times I go out for a coffee!

I always think those patterns look so pretty. They remind me of ink marbling. I usually have a cappuccino. Simply because I can't make one at home so it seems more special, on the odd occasion I have coffee made by a barista.

FANTASTIC Snap collection - lots of experience & skill goes into creating the perfect foam pattern. It will be interesting for you as the newer baristas develop their pattern skills what things they will create - I know that Pinterest if filled with all kinds. Umm my morning tea with milk now just seems so boring (lol).

They're so clever aren't they? Each one, a little work of art. A lovely thing to use as a collection..even as I write I'm thinking..you could do a book

When I worked at Friends House I enjoyed getting the 'failed' versions from the two barristas who were practising... there are youtube videos showing you how too.
