Last week I spotted seven nesting birds on various small islands in the rive, each guarded by a male bird - in fact the guard is often the first thing I spot as the goose nests are well camouflaged
The white swans stand out but did you see the goose on her nest on the far right of the zoom out photo?
enjoying the continuing range of subjects you are choosing for zoom in and zoom out
Great capture!
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely example of the treats that looking more closely can bring.
ReplyDeleteit's so easy to miss these little treasures.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Wonderful that you caught that detail!
ReplyDeleteCanada Geese everywhere!! I have never actually been able to find a nest...probably best since they will protect it!
ReplyDeleteLove swans too...
It's a lovely time of year for birds, Helena. You reminded me of more photos I took of birds while I was away. Another ZIZO, me thinks!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, those Canada geese are everywhere! They're pretty but awfully noisy. And they, um, well, let's see, how to say this politely - they leave a big mess on the ground! I wish we had swans. I guess it's too cold for them up here.
ReplyDeleteGood capture - I can just barely make it out in the zoom out picture. Not exactly a bird fond of here as they make such a horrible mess.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture sitting on the nest!
ReplyDeleteI had to search to find the nest in the Zoom Out. He's quite a handsome guard!
ReplyDeleteInteresting shots - you have a great zoom
ReplyDeleteYou have a great eye for things other might miss, Helena.
