I love shoes in many hues (and rhyming!). I have several pairs in red and purple but my new shoes for summer are lime
I knew I would buy them when I 1st saw them in the shops but wanted to wait until the weather would allow me to wear them.
I was delighted to purchase lime shoes for 2 reasons. First because I had a lovely pair of lime shoes about 5 years ago, when I was in NZ
and secondly, and I know this may be controversial, I think lime goes with everything.
How about you, do you love your shoes to zing with colour or do you prefer them to quietly do their job without drawing any attention?
Ah, interesting question. Because I have size 2 feet I have to take what I can get: kids sneakers and boots I can wear with lots of pairs of socks. If I ever need a formal pair I have to go to a specialist shop or buy a 3 with a strap and buckle to hold it on!

I wish I were comfortable enough with myself to wear zingy shoes! My feet are huge and adding a bright color would only draw more attention and probably make them look even bigger. On a bright note though, I am well anchored and unlikely to be blown over in a strong wind!
ReplyDeleteOh pretty!!!! I say if you like the shoes and the color - then you should wear them. Happiness is the word for me this year - if my feet are happy - then I'm happy and I'm glad you like to wear pretty shoes - they are not for just the very young - everyone deserves happy feet.

ReplyDeleteLove lime! My favourite shoes are also bright green with yellow spiral pattern. They form part of my blog header - I dread the day they become too worn to wear any more.

LOVE the lime shoes, Helena! You know, in the past I have always been too frugal and practical - bought shoes that could be worn with everything in my closet. But recently I've started venturing out and with the start of a pair of red shoes, I feel like I'm getting there. Gosh I love those lime shoes...
ReplyDeleteI love the lime shoes, and would grab a pair of them in a minute. One of the first purchases I ever made with money from waiting on tables, was a pair of yellow shoes. My favorites now are orange, which like lime, go with (almost) everything!

I have lime green sandals which I absolutely love :). I tend to wear neutrals and the colour pops up on my feet or in my jewellery :).

They look really nice. I wish I could buy normal shoes but with having foot issues that just isn't going to happen. Everything either has to have room for orthotics or be orthotic. I do though have a pair of dressy sandals for formal nights onboard ship, but they're only worn for a few hours.
ReplyDeleteI love lime shoes - I used to wear them with a lime shirt and jeans/beige cargos and feel very stylish. Sadly they are long departed. I agree they brighten up any colour-scheme.
