Summer of colour blossoms

Kristen gave us a lovely classic contrast with a twist for our summer of colour palette this week – very close the the colours I have on the walls in my craft room, taken from a lovely floral cushion cover

I used a photo of some lovely patterns created by shadows of bare trees as the starting point of my pixel magic this week

and came up with this abstract piece which I feel has some lovely energy and movement

I found some wools in roughly the right colours to create another charity blanket square, echoing some of the shapes

looking forward to see how others have used these colours this week – thank you to Kristen for another lovely colour challenge

  7. Ooooooh a striking image and so well adapted from your photo. It is nice to see some abstract pieces on this colour theme as it is so easy to choose the floral route with this selection.

  9. Wow Helena, such vibrant colours and I love how you used your tree shadow to inspire your abstract image. I also like that you are using the colours for a charity square, such a lovely thing to do. I have been very quiet on the blog front this month, both visiting and writing. I have resigned from my paid employment this week and hope I'll now have time to catch my breath and to do some catching up and well have more fun and time for things that are important.
