I had some fun playing with painting pixel magic for Bonnie’s theme of ‘vintage’ for PhotoArt Friday.
I love this technique – much easier than actual painting due to the undo button!

I particularly enjoy the very modern architecture in an image that at first looks vintage.
There's an undo function on the ipad paper function, which is a great feature.

Wow these are good. Valerie
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous Helena. I love the undo feature in paper on the iPad too!
ReplyDeleteI love the background you used on the first picture, it looks like a heavy watercolour paper, what is it?
I look forward to seeing your images each week, Helena. You really have a special artistic touch.
ReplyDeleteThese images are so different and equally attractive, but if I were in a gallery and could only purchase one it would be the second. I think a lot of us are unaware of the great art that can be made with photos of present-day buildings.
Oh - I wanted to add that I just love the "Undo" button too! So much less messy and requiring no clean up as when working with real paint.
ReplyDeleteWhat neat edits!
ReplyDeleteyou DO have a unique perspective which makes your posts especially anticipated. I love these, the first for its fun and simplicity [something I especially enJOY about digital fiddling and what happens if???] and the second for its remarkable vision [or YOUR remarkable vision] that put it together.
ReplyDeleteI really DO greatly enJOY seeing what you come up with, Helena!!
Both of these are very nice.
ReplyDeleteI like the bright, cheery feel of the boat piece and the postcard frame really added to the vintage look of those (modern) buildings.
these are great!
ReplyDeleteJust great.
ReplyDeleteBest whishes.

So very appealing how the essential lines of the scenes/buildings are emphasized, making a piece of very original art.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous work with the photos!
ReplyDeleteI love your vintage pictures. The buildings really show up in the clear, still water.
ReplyDeleteVery cool images!
