Photo scavenger hunt halftime linkup

Rinda suggested a halftime link up for photo scavenger hunters.  I’m enjoying seeing the different images people have for each item as well as hunting for my own items.

When I first saw the list there were 3 that I thought would be hardest because I don’t know where to find them and have to rely on keeping my eyes open and camera to hand.

#8 a person dresses as an angel or a statue of an angel.  Angels are not seen on gravestones and churches around here – I’m thinking because of the Calvinistic church history of Scotland and its preference for plain and practical.

#16 a bride.  I need to start hanging out near wedding venues on a Saturday

# 20 a swing hanging from a tree (or a hammock).  Even during a sunny summer I wouldn’t expect to see these around town.

Rinda nicely offered the chance to substitute an item this year with a photo of a heart shaped stone or a four leaved clover.  Earlier this month I spent a walk along the beach studying the stones instead of the view and did find a heart shaped stone

I think I’ll use it for #20.

Which leaves me struggling for a bride and an angel – and I don’t think I’ll get away with rearranging the letters!

  1. I love the heart shaped stone, and the other two made me laugh! Don't give up; you never know when you'll stumble across one of the items. Thanks so much for playing along, and don't forget to stop by my blog and add your post to the Linky.

  2. Hilarious! Excellent, 10 points to you for innovation - I really struggled last year so I know the feeling!

  3. I like the angle ;) The swing or hammock is tricky isn't it? London streets aren't really paved with stones either!

  5. Lovely heart shaped stone! Actually, I sometimes read words differently than they are so bird for bride and angle for angel would look fine to me!

  7. I love the angle! I misspell angel so often it makes perfect sense to me to substitute it.

  12. You have just creased me up, Helena! Love your quirky sense of humour ... I was so thrilled to receive an envelope from you today with some delightful things in, including my first ever washi tape! That is so sweet of you, and I can see why people rave about it: all the deliciousness of ribbon with none of the hassle of trying to getting it to lie flat. I am going to have fun with this, and thank-you so much again ... xx (PS I deleted my comment above because of a spelling error!).

  13. Oh what a great idea to rearrange the letters to fit! :>) I still need to find an angel myself.

  14. So funny to imagine you hanging around weddings just to capture a picture of a bride, almost as funny as me going to the hamilton gardens to do the same during winter in NZ!!

  15. LOL!!! You still have a lot of time; you may yet be surprised what you'll see.

  17. How clever AND funny you are. I was certain I would not be able to photograph a real bride so I was thinking of getting creative. Then, out of the blue, I ran into a bridal party in the city streets of Vancouver where hubby and I were visiting for the weekend. So you never know.
