Storytelling–a childhood memory

Time to share another story with Sian’s Storytelling Sunday – even if it is Monday.  I knew I’d be away on Sunday and prepared one earlier but then left it only on my home hard drive so I couldn’t access it to post on Sunday.

Another short story using an old photo to carry half the work (prepared for inclusion in Project Life album).

I’m the one in the pink dress at the front, with my sister and Mum behind me and Aunt and cousin to the right.

Join me as I check out the other stories being shared this month.

This made me gasp becasue it reminds me so very much of a photo I have of my family picnic-ing at the side of the road. Lovely photo, lovely memories!

  5. Well you were posh, a grassy verge? We were usually in the car in lay-by with the car being shaken by the cars whooshing by :)

  7. That looks like my kind of picnic! I always carry an old quilt in my vehicle, just in case we decide to stop somewhere for a picnic.

  9. I love photos from days gone by, I think they are more special sometimes because we didn't take 100s of photos like we do today.

  11. Wonderful. I'm finally getting around to reading on Monday, so it seems right on time to me. The only family picnics I ever remember were ones on the beach during the summer.

  12. We still do the same thing! Our picnics are often fresh rolls with fillings inserted on the spot, fruit and a refreshing drink. Far better than fast food!
