the up side of the low light and frequent cloud cover is the chance to capture some good skyline silhouettes
I've been collecting these over the past 10 days as we have had a lot of cloud cover to defuse the light
Looking forward to what has inspired you this week
They are superb and I guess Edinburgh is an ideal location for skylines. The bottom one is particularly good.
ReplyDeleteA great SNAP collection. I like them all although I have a particular draw to the first long narrow photo. Neat way you have set them out :)
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous Helena. I was sorting through my photos for November and just loved some silhouettes during sunrise. I'm glad I don't have to choose a favourite of yours ;)
ReplyDeleteThat bottom with the sun flare is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove silhouettes, and this is a wonderful collection. Although I agree about the upper left and bottom photos, I also love the way you captured the bird just above that beautiful tree!
ReplyDeleteWow, great silhouettes! Wouldn't it be FUN to tell a story through silhouettes . . . hmm, might have to start watching for these kinds of shots! :)
ReplyDeletewow- these are gorgeous silhouettes. The last one would look great poster-sized hanging up on the wall!! Such an interesting variety of shaped buildings.
ReplyDeleteOooh, striking and very cool.
ReplyDeleteWow: those are stunning. Perfect for the front cover of a book on Burke and Hare!
ReplyDeleteI like these - the trees with the bird on the wing against the clouds is my favourite, but they are all lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh indeed, these are wonderfully atmospheric. I wouldn't be surprised to see a witch on a broomstick silhouetted against one of your skies :).
